If you are interested in exhibiting/demonstrating your commercial, academic, or government software at the MT Summit Technology Showcase, please send the following information to Jen DeCamp. We are particularly interested in software that is discussed in presentations at the conference.
The Technology Showcase is held one afternoon during the conference. There is no fee for exhibiting. Exhibiters are welcome to invite outside guests to see the demonstrations. Information on exhibits is included on the conference CD.
Call for Proposals:
The Technology Showcase will be on Sunday, November 1. Final “camera-ready” versions of exhibit information will be due Monday September 7.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to the following:
- Use of MT as a translator tool
- Use of MT as an analyst tool
- Use of MT in chats, blogs and social networks
- Non-traditional uses of MT
- MT post-editing
- MT evaluation
- MT research and development
- MT case studies
- Linguistic resources for MT
- MT tool integration
- Terminology management and other tools for assisting human translation.
What to Submit:
Submissions should include:
- Name of company
- Name of products being demoed
- Description of products being demoed (maximum 50-200 words)
- Name of customer contact
- Email of customer contact
- Special requests (if any) to AMTA for support
Logistics:
Exhibiters will be provided with a table, draping, chairs, a sign, electrical outlets, and wifi. Exhibitors are welcome to bring posters and signs. However, signs may not be attached to the hotel walls. Please note special requests on the submission form or contact Jen DeCamp (techshowcase@amtaweb.org) or Priscilla Rasmussen (business@amtaweb.org).
Exhibitors can choose to rent large-screen monitors from the MT Summit registration page for $200. The monitors will be delivered to and picked up from the exhibit table.
Exhibitors can mail signs and brochures to the hotel in advance of the conference in care of Priscilla Rasmussen.

MT Summit XV Call for proposals for Workshops on all topics related to MT
MT Summit workshops are intended to provide the opportunity for MT-related communities of interest to spend time together advancing the state of thinking or the state of practice in their area of endeavor. We are particularly interested in submissions related to commercialization of MT and/or its use by professional translators. However, any themes connected to MT research, development, deployment, use, and evaluation are welcome. Topics for past workshops have included post-editing, treatment of Arabic-script languages, monolingual aspects of MT, collaborative translation, lexical resources, and MT research and the translation industry.
Workshop proposals should be submitted by 29 June 2015 to workshops@amtaweb.org.
They should include:
- Workshop title
- Dates for important milestones (call for papers, recruitment of speakers, etc.)
- Description of the workshop content, technical requirements
- Expected number of participants,
- Whether this is an ongoing or new workshop, and
- A signed copy of the MT_Summit_XV_Workshop_Proposal_Form

MT Summit XV solicits original research papers that will advance the field of Machine Translation. We seek submissions across the entire spectrum of MT-related research activity. Submissions must be unpublished, and in English.
Important dates:
- Submission deadline: Friday July 10
- Notification of acceptance: Monday, August 10
- Final “camera-ready” versions: Monday, September 7
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
- Advances in various MT paradigms: data-driven, rule-based, and hybrids
- MT applications and embedding: translation/localization aids, speech-to-speech, speech-to-text, OCR, MT for communication (chats, blogs, social networks), multilingual applications, etc.
- Technologies for MT deployment: quality estimation and domain adaptation
- MT in special settings: low resources, massive resources, high volume, low computing resources
- Human factors in MT and user interfaces for MT
- Linguistic resources for MT: dictionaries, terminology banks, corpora
- MT evaluation techniques and evaluation results
- Empirical studies on translation data
If you have research software that you would like to show, you may also consider submitting a proposal for the MT Summit Technology Showcase. See the “Call for MT Technology Demonstrations and Exhibits” link on the conference website.
Submission Instructions:
Papers must not exceed 12 (twelve) pages plus 4 (four) pages for references. All papers should follow the formatting instructions included with the style files, and should be submitted in PDF. Latex, PDF and MS Word style files are available: mtsummit2015 mtsummit2015 mtsummit2015.latex
To allow for blind reviewing, please do not include author names and affiliations within the paper and avoid obvious self-references.
Papers must be submitted to the START system here by 11:59 pm PDT (GMT – 7 hours), Friday, July 10, 2015.
Multiple Submissions:
Papers presented at MT Summit XV must represent new work that has not been previously published. It is the responsibility of the author(s) to inform the program chairs of any potential problem with respect to this requirement. Authors submitting a similar paper both to MT Summit XV and another conference or workshop must inform the program chairs by email (mtresearchers@amtaweb.org), specifying to which other conference or workshop they are submitting their work. If the paper is accepted and presented at MT Summit XV, then it must be withdrawn from other conferences and workshops.
